Future Students

Overview

Mile Two is an eight-month discipleship school focusing on biblical study, experiential learning, and pursuing God.  We strive to develop disciples of Jesus who are compassionate, self-sacrificing, and absolutely committed to pursuing Jesus in every area of life.

Mile Two  programming consists of seven major components:

  1. Daily Bible Study and Teaching – We spend significant time each day studying the Scriptures, understanding their original context and learning how they speak to us today.
  2. Spiritual Nourishment – Every day at Mile Two incorporates the spiritual disciplines.  We use prayer, worship, fasting, solitude and many other disciplines to draw near to God and to seek His presence.
  3. Community Life – Mile Two students journey the path of discipleship in a close-knit, caring community.  We study, work, play and generally live life together.
  4. Mentor Relationship – Every Mile Two student has a mentor who walks with them.  Weekly meetings consist of encouragement, counsel and prayer.
  5. Service – The call to discipleship is much more than just study – we also serve regularly in our communities, seeking out those on the edges of society.
  6. Israel Trip – In keeping with a year of biblical study, students will travel to the Holy Land to experience the lands of the Bible. Students will also have opportunities to serve and to learn more about the present political and social dynamics in Israel.
  7. Church Involvement – Every Mile Two student will find community and involvement in a local church.
