Providence

Providence University College and Theological Seminary is located in Otterburne, Manitoba. With 300 undergraduate students, 175 graduate students, and 27 regular faculty members, Providence is the largest self-standing Christian educational institution in Manitoba.

University College

Providence University College is a Christian academic community in the evangelical tradition that teaches people to grow in knowledge and character for leadership and service. The mission of Providence University College is to educate people at a university level to think, live, and serve as Christians in society and the church.

Providence University College is committed to exploring faith and life through accredited undergraduate degree programs in Biblical Studies, Arts & Sciences and Professional Studies. Providence is chartered by the Province of Manitoba to offer degrees that serve as pre-requisites to post-baccalaureate degree programs at the University of Manitoba and other universities around the world.  Individual courses also transfer to other university undergraduate degree programs.

University College alumni serve in the church and in society at large in various occupations. For example, current Providence alumni are making an impact as public school teachers, airplane pilots, operators of small businesses, media specialists, or teachers of English to speakers of other languages.

Theological Seminary

Providence Theological Seminary is an evangelical institution whose purpose is to serve the Church, in the accomplishment of its mission, by preparing and supporting leaders, developing resources, and facilitating theological reflection.

Providence Seminary is both evangelical and interdenominational. Faculty and graduates come from AGC, Christian & Missionary Alliance, Anglican, Baptist, Evangelical Free, Free Methodist, Lutheran, Mennonite, Pentecostal, Presbyterian, Reformed, Salvation Army, and other evangelical denominational churches.

Providence offers certificate, masters and doctoral level programs in traditional classroom format, modular courses, and through online education. Graduate programs focus on preparing students for Church, counseling, educational, global, and academic ministries.
